CURRENTLY SEEKING:
KITCHEN/COOK ASSISTANT FOR SUMMER 2018

Do you have a passion for making amazing food and sharing it with your friends and loved ones? Do you have some experience in the high paced world of commercial cooking but don’t feel like the typical restaurant cook road is for you? Do you love creating, learning and working hard in a team setting? Are you interested in farm to table style cooking and using what’s on hand?

We are looking for you! Our incredible folks in the kitchen at Ultima Thule are the heartbeat of our operation. Come help the established team and facilitate the crew meals on your own while learning and assisting with preparation and presentation of our fine dining guest meal service.

No formal training necessary, however, you must have some prior experience in or around a commercial kitchen to fully understand the time management and high demands of producing 3 meals a day for up to 50 people.

- You must be able to take direction well and learn through observation.
- You must have a willing and go-with-the-flow attitude.
- You must be comfortable working a split shift schedule and able to come and go from work throughout the day starting early and ending late.

This is a first-year employee position with the perk of learning new skills, having new experiences and progressing within the company in future seasons.

TEBAY LODGE HOST TEAM

Positions available for a sensational management team for our private retreat and satellite property, www.tebaylodge.com. Extended season from March through October. Ideally suited for a talented couple/duo who thrive in wilderness settings and have strong abilities to oversee and execute the large and small details of property management, care taking and hosting. Skills required include a history of management level hospitality, guest services and previous experience in remote property management and maintenance.

LIVING at Ultima Thule:
For lodge based jobs meals and lodging are provided.
Please note: we eat hearty/healthy meals with lots of fresh veggies and wild harvested fish and game – due to our remote location and demands on the kitchen staff we are not always able to accommodate special dietary needs from crew members. Dorm style housing is provided and crew members may be asked to share a room with a person of the same gender. A crew sauna/bath house is also provided. Remember this is a remote Alaskan setting and there is no indoor plumbing in the crew house. Crew members enjoy getting out for hikes and camping adventures on down days, however, the guest experience is the paramount focus and priority. Work days are long and enthusiasm is ALWAYS expected.
